At the end of June we, along with some friends of ours, took a trip to the Kentucky Railway Museum, which is located in New Haven, Kentucky (about an hour south of Louisville). My friend, Charity, and I plotted together to surprise our husbands with this trip, since they both love trains. We all had a wonderful time at the museum, which also had several train tables for Julianne to play at. We also had the opportunity to ride a historic train throughout the Kentucky countryside. Julianne kept saying "Lou too-too tain" (loud choo-choo train) whenever the train would blow it's whistle. Since this outing occurred in the afternoon during Julianne's nap, I was hoping she would nap on the car ride there, but no such luck. She actually was lulled to sleep by the train and slept for about 30 minutes on our ride. Things are never as I plan, especially with her, but I was glad she at least got a small nap. After finishing at the museum, we went to Bardstown and ate at a yummy Mexican restaurant. It was a fun day with good friends.
