Lorelei's First Trip to St. Louis
This past weekend we took our first trip to St. Louis as a family of four. Lorelei did wonderfully during the four and a half hour car ride. She slept almost the entire way, which was not great for her sleeping schedule, but great for the time on the road. Poor Julianne starting running a fever as we were on the road and was really congested, so she just kept saying, "I want to sleep in my bed at Papa and Gigi's house" and "Mommy hold me." It was hard to explain to her that neither of these were possible until we got to St. Louis. She started feeling better as soon as we got some Tylenol in her and was good to go by the next morning, which was good since we had scheduled a picture appointment for that morning.
We had a great weekend visiting with family and friends. We got to spend some great time with my brother (aka Uncle Andy) who recently moved back to St. Louis from California. It was the first time we had seen him in a year and the first time he had met his youngest niece. Julianne had a great time playing with him and eating the very yummy food he made (we enjoyed it too!). He made some delicious lasagna for our Valentine's lunch on Sunday. Lorelei was quite content to be held by everyone! You'll notice a couple of smiles from Lorelei in the pictures. She has just started smiling purposefully in the past week or so and saves most of her smiles for her big sister. Here are some pictures for our weekend.
