11 Weeks
Okay, I have to admit that I had to look at a calendar to figure out how many weeks Lorelei was. How pitiful is that? The second child is so much different than the first. Anyway, Lorelei is leaving the newborn stage (in which life consists of crying, eating, sleeping, and soiling diapers) and entering into the baby stage (in which life consists of the things in the newborn stage, but also includes babbling, laughing, playing with toys, etc). She still can be fussy at times, but usually is quite content. She has even warmed up to bath time and enjoys it for a limited amount of time. I think she enjoys it because we put her in the tub with Julianne and she absolutely loves Julianne! Lorelei could watch her sister all day and not get bored. She always has smiles for Julianne, even if she's in a bad mood. It's so fun to watch their relationship grow. Lorelei can now carry on a conversation (in baby talk, of course) and will sit and "chat" with me for 10-15 minutes at a time. It is so sweet to hear her coo, blow bubbles, and even laugh. She has also discovered that she has hands on the end of her arms and even better, that the are useful for something. She enjoys holding her own hands, rubbing her face with them, and trying to get blankets and toys into her mouth with them. Here are some pictures of our sweet eleven week old.
