When I wrote the title to this post I was not referring to Lorelei grabbing raspberries, although if they were within her reach she probably would. Rather, the title refers to Lorelei's newest skills of perfecting her grabbing skills and blowing raspberries. Our sweet girl has become very difficult to hold while trying to also accomplish something because she grabs for everything within reach. The other day I was holding her and trying to sign a receipt. She proceeded to lunge forward and grab the pen and receipt, which made it quite difficult to finish this simple task. Lorelei is not yet mobile, but has already figured out how to irritate her sister by stealing her things. If anything is put within arm's reach, you better watch out, because Lorelei is sure to get it. When Lorelei successfully grabs an item it goes straight into her mouth. After much chewing and drooling her very first tooth finally appeared about a week ago, so now we know why she has been chewing on everything. She has also learned how to blow raspberries and loves to do it. She will do this for 15-20 minutes at a time while she is playing. These are happy raspberries, but when Lorelei gets upset she makes sad raspberries by blowing and whining/fussing at the same time. It's pretty funny to watch. Here are some pictures of our six and a half month old.
